1. Go to Delaware.AffordableHousing.com and search for open waiting lists. You must sign up for a free account to submit a pre-application.
2. Once your pre-application has been completed and submitted, you will receive an email receipt of pre-application submission.
3. Your pre-application will be received by participating housing authorities electronically. Once received, your application will be automatically reviewed for eligibility to be placed on the waiting list.
To submit a paper-based application please fill out the following:
1. Fully complete the application form and waiting list checklist to indicate which programs/properties you want to apply for. You can download a copy of the pre-application and checklist below, or request one be sent to you by calling 855-301-5920 or email delaware@affordablehousing.com.
The waiting list is currently closed. If you previously applied and need to complete an update, please visit AffordableHousing.com/Update or download the update form below.

To update an application that has already been submitted to the waiting list, please visit www.affordablehousing.com/update. If you previously applied to a PHA you can access your existing application by creating a new account. You can also complete an update form and send it back to DHAA for processing.
Important: If you require any other reasonable accommodation to submit your application, please reach out to the PHA office for assistance. It's important to maintain up-to-date information on your application, so that we can reach out to you for additional details and confirm whether you'd still like to be on the waiting list. If you fail to respond to any requests made by a PHA or AffordableHousing.com(on behalf of PHAs), your name will be removed from the waiting list without any further notice.

Once your pre-application is near the top of the waiting list, we will contact you for additional information. A PHA must verify all information provided on your application, including preferences and income eligibility, and must conduct a background check.
